CHIEF SECRETARY APPOINTMENT CLAIM REFUTED

Public Service Minister, Westly Nukundj has refuted a claim on Social Media about the appointment of a new Chief-Secretary

to Government.

The Minister was prompted to respond to the claim after a post on Facebook Page - PNG Breaking News went viral.

Minister Nukundj in an issued statement said the post contained a congratulatory message towards former Investment Promotion Authority Managing Director and current APEC Ambassador, Ivan Pomaleu for supposedly being appointed as the new Chief-Secretary.

While brushing aside this claim, the Minister is advising the general public to refrain from spreading such rumors in public domain.
