Hela Province has completed its local level government election with no major incident reported.

Provincial Police Commander Teddy Agwi while thanking the security personnel and those who worked tirelessly to make it happen says it shows clearly that people are changing rapidly and respect the Electoral process.

He says the election officials under the leadership of Manager John Tipa have done well and must be commended.

PPC Agwi says Police and PNGDF Personnel on the ground have played an important role in ensuring the process ends smoothly.

Agwi also thanked the Provincial Government for the allocation of funding which helped police and PNGDF meet the cost of logistic and allowances.

Agwi also urge the elected Councilors to vote for a good candidate to be the President and not to follow money and power.

He says Police will standby to ensure the process runs smoothly and on time.
