PM Marape Encourages Think Tank Group to provide Evidence Based Submissions

By CHRISTOPHER YANDAWAI

Prime Minister James Marape has encouraged intellectuals under TT Group INC to provide data, statistics and research based submissions for effective policy formulation going forward.

Marape made this comment during a function held by Think Tank group with other like minded intellectual individuals at International Convention Centre on Monday.
The function was held as a discussion forum to share thoughts, ideas, alternatives and experiences on how to take back PNG.
The intellectuals under TT Group had put forward a rescue plan targeting the Economy and Social sectors.
Marape who delivered a keynote address at the discussion panel however strongly voiced that any discussion of ideas, thoughts and alternatives must be substantiated with data and statistics.
"I will only be convinced by such presentable discussion and not by mere words," Marape said.
I want numbers and not words because numbers do not lie while words do."

"I encourage every intellects here to go back bring forward ideas, thoughts, experiences back by real data and statistics," he reiterated.
Meanwhile, Marape said he is looking forward to write a new chapter of a new book for PNG's life in the next 44 years going forward.
He said the last 44 years is gone and that is history.
Marape is expected to announce his blueprint under the vision of Making PNG the first Black Christian Nation on the 16th of September, 2019.
