THREE-DAY AMAZING PORT MORESBY INDEPENDENCE FESTIVAL ENDS ON HIGH NOTE

The three-day amazing Port Moresby Independence Festivals ended on a remarkable note with spectacular fireworks this evening.
The spectacular fireworks lit up the skies above the Independence Drive, National Parliament and, National Museum and Arts Gallery in the city this evening as residents flocked to take a glimpse this evening.

It was a day-long celebration to mark PNG's 44th Independence Anniversary.
At Independence Boulevard, Anslom, Sorong-Samarai band, and Trio Papua mermerised and entertained city dwellers.
They also used the forum to amplify Free West Papua campaign with their songs.
Other amazing performances were also staged.

During the wee hours this morning at the Independence Hill outside the Parliament, State Ministers, the Speaker Job Pomat, NCD Governor Powes Parkop, President of ABG Fr John Momis and senior government officials joined Prime Minister James Marape for the flag raising ceremony.
CELEBRATIONS were staged at seven different locations at the courtesy of NCDC, NCD Governor's Office and Moresby North-East DDA.
At Era Kone, fireworks were also spectacular this evening. During the day, it was full of fan fare comprising of juggling, music concert, display of cultural diversities and sky diving amongst others.
