OVERCROWDING FACED BY LAW SCHOOL

Overcrowding during lecture periods and tutorials has been affecting the students since commencing of the 2019 academic year.
The first and second year law students at the University of Papua New Guinea are still struggling due to limited tutorials and lecture spacing allocations.
Dean for school of law ( SOL) professor Mange Matui says the SOL team had being expecting to move into new building with more new intakes and continuing students this year but did not eventuate as expected.
He says SOL had experienced increased in number of students this year compared to previous years hence more space is needed for students.
Professor Mange Matui stressed that new SOL building was completed early this year and is yet to officially opened and handed over.
