MARU ADDRESSES CRIME INCREASE IN DISTRICT

In light of the increase in crime in the Yangoru Saussia District of East Sepik Province, Member for Yangoru Saussia Richard Maru said the district will fund police to collect illegal guns in the communities in the district.
He said the number of criminals has grown and the people have had enough.
He said enough is enough; as people cannot be subjected to this criminals and thugs every day.
The member also called on the communities in west Yangoru especially Boem Sara, Kamajan, Witipi, Nindipari, Belmo and Miamboro to report and hand over all suspects who are on the run and believed to be numbering over 20 to Police at Yangoru for their continuous hold ups on the Sepik Highway.
There are also a number of murderers and rapists still hiding out in the district and Mr Maru said they are doing all they can to capture these criminals to bring them to justice.
